Walking To Jerusalem through 5400 Years of History

The hike to Jerusalem via the Judean Hills is a hike through a huge museum Every hill, every rock and path are silent witness to thousands of years of history whose influence on the world continues to this day.

The path covers historical sites of ancient cultures as well as existing live energetic populations of pleasant, open minded people of various religions and beliefs, Christian, Jewish, and Moslem.

You will find here open museums and memorial sites nestled in nature as though they had always been there since time immemorial.   Churches and monasteries and convents in the area where Jesus and John the Baptist were active.   Places where incidents that appear in the Bible and New Testament actually occurred, simulated ancient agriculture alongside some of the most advanced agriculture techniques in the world, state of the art modern wineries and ancient wine press and barrel wine producing methods.

All this is wrapped in an amazing Mediterranean landscape of hills, streams, forests, groves, phenomenal blossoms from the end of autumn to the end of spring, pleasant weather at temperatures comfortable for hiking, (generally) and beautiful well marked trails.

The trail covers 32 kilometers of the Israel Trail, which was designated by National Geographic magazine as one of the twenty most beautiful hiking trails in the world   (“World’s Best Hikes: Epic Trails”).  “The Israel National Trail, (INT) delves into the grand scale of biblical landscapes as well as the everyday lives of modern Israelis.”
Our hike also includes 8 kilometers of the New Jerusalem Trail.
